We welcome all GPs and practice staff who work in general practices located within the boundaries of GPpartners as ‘members’. We also offer financial membership to GPs, general practice staff, Specialists, allied health professionals and other health professionals.

Financial membership

Our membership is a financial year membership, e.g 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010. One and two year memberships are available.  All financial membership applications must be approved by the Board of Directors. You will be notified by mail. Renewals are sent May - July each year.

How to join

Class - Full financial

• Definition - Registered medical practitioners who work at least the equivalent of one session per week as a General Practitioner.
• Description - According to the Constitution, General Practitioner means a registered medical practitioner who, a) is qualified and competent for general practice in Australia, and has the skills and experience to provide whole person, comprehensive, coordinated and continuing primary medical care, and b) maintains professional competence for general practice.
• Who - GPs who fulfil the description above.

Class - Associate

• Definition - Medical practitioners with an interest in General Practice / General Practitioners and their continued well being.
• Description - Includes GP Registrars, specialists and other GPs who do not satisfy requirements to be a Full member.
• Who - retired GPs, GPs who are not currently in general practice, GP Registrars, Specialists

Class - Affiliate

• Definition - Any person, not a registered medical practitioner, who supports the principal purpose of GPpartners.
• Description - Includes general practice staff, health professionals and others, who support the principal purpose of GPpartners.
• Who - General practice staff, Allied health, other health professionals.
