Membership

We welcome all GPs and practice staff, who work in general practices located within the boundaries of GPpartners, as ‘members’. As members you can access a range of services including our Practice Liaison Officers, professional development, participation in programs and initiatives and subscription to publications.

Financial membership

This year we have a new financial member program that offers GPs additional benefits and invites other health professionals to join, including general practice staff, specialists, allied health workers and others who share our purpose of improving patient outcomes in our region.

Membership applications will be reviewed and approved once per month by the Board of Directors.

Classes of financial members

Class	Definition	Description	Who
Full financial	Registered medical practitioners who work at least the equivalent of one session per week as a General Practitioner*.	According to the Constitution, General Practitioner means a registered medical practitioner who is qualified and competent for general practice in Australia, and has the skills and experience to provide whole person, comprehensive, coordinated and continuing primary medical care maintains professional competence for general practice. Associate	Medical practitioners with an interest in General Practice / General Practitioners and their continued well being.	Includes GP Registrars, specialists and other GPs who do not satisfy requirements to be a Full member.	GPs – other GP Registrars Specialists
Affiliate	Any person, not a registered medical practitioner, who supports the principal purpose of GPpartners.	Includes general practice staff, health professionals and others, who support the principal purpose of GPpartners.	General practice staff Allied health and other health professionals

Queensland Ambulance Service - specialised, flexible basic and advanced first aid training at exceptional rates plus a range of basic life support equipment (including training).
Diabetes Australia-Queensland - 50% of a health professional organisational membership for the first 2 years plus access to online health professional resources.
AMA Queensland Workplace Relations & Legal Department - AMAQ Member rate or free entry to selected training including monthly Legal Breakfast Briefings.
