Opioid Substitution Treatment Prescribers training: Fixing Fractured Lives – gradually. Opioid substitution treatment is a specific treatment modality for people with problems related to dependence on opioids - either pharmaceutical opioids such as morphine and oxycodone, over-the-counter medications such as Nurofen Plus (Regd), or heroin. This free course will cover assessment of patients with possible opioid dependence, protocols for commencing patients on buprenorphine, and opioid substitution, maintenance and withdrawal.
