GPpartners programs

  • National Prescribing Service education programs - NPS offers independent, evidence-based information on medicines and prescribing.
  • NPS facilitator educational visits - our NPS Facilitators, Ann Winkle and Cathy Prest provide educational visiting on two therapeutic topics per year (see Education for current topics).
  • Clinical audits and case studies are available through NPS.
  • DVA Dose Administration Aid - The DAA Service provides veterans, war widows and other eligible DVA clients a DAA at no cost, in conjunction with the ongoing care of their doctor and pharmacist. The need for a DAA may be identified by the veteran, carer, community nurse, GP or pharmacist. Contact us for info.
  • Medication Management ReviewsHome Medicines Reviews (HMR) involve a GP consultation,  pharmacist interview with patient, clinical assessment by pharmacist and a written report to GP. A HMR provides a comprehensive, up-to-date information about medicines, complementary products, over-the-counter medicines, devices and other prescriptions being used. Patients receive assistance with medications, aids and devices to improve compliance and early detection and management of medicine-related problems. Residential Medication Management Reviews are for residents of aged care homes, in particular, for those for whom quality use of medicines may be an issue, or who are at risk of medication misadventure because of a significant change in their condition or medication regimen. Contact us for assistance with these reviews. See also  MBS and Medicare and Templates.
